1 loss away
After clinching the playoffs then sweeping our way to the ALCS the Sox are in a familiar place, 1 loss away from an early vacation. There has been a lot of talk about how Francona should be in panic mode, switching up the line up and starters in order to make a last ditch effort to pull this thing together. Now I would be the first person to applaude if Ellsbury made his way into the outfield and JD Screw rode the pine but I agree with some critics who say we gotto have faith in the coaching staff, front office staff, and players who have coached, managed, and been the best team in baseball all year. We dont want to go into panic mode and lose our heads in the process, but instead we want to get back into playing Red Sox baseball and we can do that by not making any drastic changes and by getting back to the fundamentals. Even though we got some potential talent sitting on the bench waiting for their chance, we need to give the Vets props for what they have done and what they need to do come Thursday.

The sox have clinched the playoffs and are two away from clinching first. The only question is how to improve for the playoffs.
